The Club Penguin Community Blog has been spired up with a new design and the activities now display images! Club Penguin have released a new recipe called the ‘Cannonball Salad’ which on Club Penguin’s healthy meter is 2/3 which is pretty healthy. To try this recipe, ask an adult for help!
Club Penguin Recipe – Cannonball Salad
To take a look at the original page of the Club Penguin recipe, head over to the Club Penguin Community Blog (community.clubpenguin.com), click the Recipes image and click Cannonball Salad. This is what the Cannonball Salad looks like with the ingredients you will need in order to cook it up:
Club Penguin have also provided us with Instructions to make the Cannonball Salad recipe. If you aren’t exactly a top notch chef or you are young and can’t cook very well, get your parents to help so you can create the Cannonball Salad safely! Here are the instructions that you will need to follow to make the Cannonball Salad. Show these to an adult if you’re confused!
You Will Need
Baking sheet
Plastic bag
Cooking spray
Medium sized bowl
Small skillet
Ingredients
1 lb. ground turkey or beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 tsp garlic powder
1 cup grated cheese: Mozzarella, and/or Monterrey Jack
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 tsp. sugar
1 container (5 oz.) arugula
1 apple, cut into match-like sticks
1/3 cup balsamic vinaigrette dressing
Instructions
Heat the oven to 375ºF/190ºC.
Mix together the breadcrumbs, garlic powder and cheese in a plastic bag. Shake!
In a bowl, mix the breadcrumb mixture into the ground turkey/beef.
Shape the meat into approx. 28 (1 1/2-inch) balls.
Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and place the meat balls on.
Bake for 20 min. or until cooked all the way through.
While the meat balls are in the oven, cook and stir the nuts in a small, dry skillet on medium heat for 2 min.
Add the sugar and stir for another minute, or until sugar is melted and the nuts are evenly glazed.
Combine arugula, apples, meatballs and nuts in large bowl.

Anyways, I’ve been thinking about the Halloween Party a bunch, since it’s coming in the next few weeks. As you may know, we’ve had a Halloween Party every year since the beginning of Club Penguin. Back in 2005, Screenhog was the only artist on the Club Penguin team, so he didn’t have very much time to make giant parties the way we do now. Here’s a screenshot of one of the original party rooms from way back then:
As you can see, there wasn’t as much going on at a party back in 2005, and the team was just learning how to make this big crazy thing called Club Penguin!
It’s been fun to see just how much Club Penguin evolves and gets better every year. Here’s another little sneak peek of what the 2012 Halloween Party will look like when it comes out in a few weeks.
